Default Re: Too weak with AA?

I bet $7 there because that's my standard continuation bet. I don't want them to able to tell the difference between Aces and unimproved AK. I'm not betting more to shut off their odds, I want money in the pot. If a player is calling my raise with AQ, do you really think he's folding for $7 cause he hit TPTK?

Why bet $7 or $10, what are you looking to learn/achieve w/ that bet?

I hate betting small here. When you bet small with a good, but not great hand, and get raised, you're left in the dark about your holdings. It's confusing because you don't know if they're raising because they have you beat or if they're raising because they think your bet is weakness. I don't like it. I rarely bet half the pot on the flop.

Either bet creates a mistake in your favor unless the opponent already has you beat.

Getting more money into the pot from a guy drawing to 5 outs isn't a mistake.
