most times yes, but i can think of a scenario where i would want my offense out first. lets say you had a 21 point lead going into the 4th, and your defense has been on the field for the entire 4th quarter because your offense is incompetent and coughed up the ball 2 times on the first play. in this case, you would want your offense out there first to give the D a rest.
