Well...obviously you have to pick up your chips if you are moved to a different table.
But they will usually make it pretty clear (because there's almsot always 1 beginner there) that you are not allowed to put any of the chips in your pocket when you move.
If you need a tray to carry the chips then request one.
Put one chip in your pocket and you're out of the tourney (assuming they see it of course).
