Hand 1: Raise the flop. A 7-high flush is usually best, but is very vulnerable if a 4th heart hits. Even if you don't lose, your action is completely dead at that point. After not raising the flop, raise more on the turn so he doesn't have a super easy call with just a heart.

Hand 2: This is a tough spot. Your hand might be best but you could also be way behind a big overpair. You called hoping for a set or a flop that looks harmless, this is neither.

The pot is so big form all the callers that you have no good way to play it and are just guessing if someone has you beat. Plus if someone has the nut flush draw, he is a favorite over you here as well so even when you are ahead you will frequently be outdrawn.

I'd check, and usually fold unless the bet seems particularly week and most of the hanger-ons fold.
