The way I would play it in retrospect is to block the turn for 2/3 pot. If he calls its check/fold. I think a made flush is going to try to extract value, there is no way that push is a flush, more like turned two pair.
I never overbet my sets because I WANT action. My standard on a drawing board is pot. The only thing that can call correctly is a combo draw with overs for the coinflip.
