I hear vegas is one of the two worst places to deal cards with cali coming in first or second depending on who you talk to. They make better money just about everywhere else but if you want to see the scene and you're young/carefree enough to just pick up and move... more power to ya. I think the community college there offers dealer school so you don't neccesarily have to pay a private company more (?) money to learn.
If you're not tied to income you might have better luck by simply being a concierge in the poker room and learning by dealing tournaments at first. BTW, concierge is just a nice word for busboy.
