When you mentioned Morongo as "small", perhaps you were thinking of the original location of the poker room at the new casino. It has since been moved to a larger, glassed-off room. Aside from the lighting, which is lousy, it's not a bad place. It's still the biggest room in the area.

I, too, will be down in the desert for the T-Day weekend, but not to play. My wife and I are in the process of selling our condo there, and we're moving stuff out of it during that holiday "window." Hope you do well at Spotlight.
