Default Re: My girlfriend PWNZ JOO

Hand 1 - It is certain that the second push from that particular player means AA. He isn't raising with any other hand here. She's getting 2.39:1 on an all in call here, meaning she only needs about 30% equity for it to be a neutral EV call. Even if the diamond draw is dead, she is still 34% to win, so no matter how bad you think the it is, the call is by no means 'terrible'. It is highly likely given the other two players involved that it is an AA vs AA hand.

Hand 2 - I was watching when she played it and she asked me what kind of hand the UTG player was likely to have. I told her that the $20 bet into a $33 pot screamed weakness. If he really wanted to protect his hand and play HU against the PFR he would have potted it or checked and made a big reraise. It is very likely that he is pretty weak here, like he has a hand that has a decent chance against an overpair, possibly an OE straight draw and a pair but that he wanted to get her out as cheaply as possible. The same player would have definitely have potted a strong wrap + flush draw here. As long as the flush draw is live, she is a big favorite over even a huge wrap like 79TJ. Against a better bare flush draw with no pair and some straight outs, she is coin flipping, and there is enough dead money in the pot to justify flipping a coin here.
