Default Re: Can a Former Addict become a good Poker Player?

Hi Al,

We don't disagree about addiction. The following is from my previous post:

[ QUOTE ]
I do not know much about the causes of any addiction nor how to cure any of them. I used to believe that education was the key to freeing oneself from an addiction. I don't doubt that I was very wrong about this.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was speaking a bit toungue in cheek wihth regards to poker (gambling addiction aside). I may have, probably did, treat the subject of addiction to lightly. Sorry.

Oh, thanks for the kind words. I have found that over the past year or so that I have been a very angry so and so. This has come out in a lot of my recent posts here on 2 + 2. Andy Fox did me a great service by pointing this out to me. I think he's trying to take your job. Of course for old times sakes and out of respect I will certainly make a couch apointment with you the next time I go off my rocker. More folks should come to this Psychology forum of yours. Nothing is more important to playing winning poker than a sane mind. Unless of course you are Mike Caro.
