I think it's a good way to explain to someone who doesn't really understand. it's not really "wrong" per se and it makes a lot of sense

Yeah, the fact that more hands in NL don't go to Turn/River/Showdown then in limit would seem to be a limiting factor in variance. Its just a funny way of putting it.
