i have heard a lot of people mention offers like this in alaska. can you please elaborate? i don't get how alaska could be that hurting for workers

I believe he may be talking about the commercial fishing industry in alaska, I've seen some stuff about it on A&E type programs, doesn't look that desirable considering alot of these people actually die on the job.
