Default NJ CCC poker rule changes

I don't remember now why I went to the NJ CCC page, but I stumbled across a recent rule-change proposal that includes two good ones that apply to the poker rooms:

from here

<quote>19:45-1.19 Acceptance of tips or gratuities from patrons

(c) Upon receipt from a patron of a tip or gratuity, a dealer shall extend his or her arm in an overt motion, and deposit such tip or gratuity in the locked box reserved for such purpose. In addition, a poker dealer who is permitted to retain his or her own tips and gratuities shall verbally notify a supervisor prior to depositing any tip or gratuity with a value in excess of [one dollar] five dollars.</quote>

<quote>19:47-14.18 [Waiting list] Announcement of available games and seats

A casino licensee [may maintain a list of players who have requested to be seated at a particular type of poker table. All vacant seats shall be filled on a first come first served basis. The casino licensee] shall be permitted to announce [only those seating vacancies for which an individual has been placed on a waiting list] in those areas of a casino or simulcasting facility where poker tables are located the particular types of poker games and minimum/maximum wagers that are being offered and the availability of any vacant seats at particular poker tables. </quote>

Bracketed bits are the proposed deletions; bolded bits are the proposed additions.

I had no idea dealers were supposed to announce any tip over a dollar, and I've never seen it done...seems like a nuisance.

I think it was noted here a few months back that at least a couple of the poker rooms had stopped announcing things like "We have open seating for 5-10 hold'em" because they were no longer allowed; the second thing above seems to change that for the better.
