I have to ask if anyone here would not fold the following hand: Q, 3, 7, 8 r - in early position at a table of raising maniacs?

I am merely asking to try and figure out why every hand I folded would have been the nuts (or so it seemed), whereas every hand I tried to make either was split or didn't fit the flop. I did fold that hand and the flop turned out to be:

Q, Q, 8

Why? Why? Why? .....it wasn't that good of a day for me.
I know, I'm whining.
