Algebra, baby:

(M - 1500) * 27% + 1500 = M * 30%, where M is the breakeven point for MGR. So .27M + 1095 = .30M, or .03M = 1095, or M = $36,500. So if you're generating more MGR than that, choose 30% rakeback.
