You might be right that in his book he may have said that it applies to NL, but either in his book, or maybe in other discussions, I have seen him say that it applies to limit also. I think in a thread in the general forum a couple of months ago, he said that having a short stack in a limit game would turn a breakeven player into a significant winner.
