With straight & flush draws on the flop, you need to bet it much stronger - I'd go with 500 - 700. Same with turn, bet much more.
I don't know if villain was getting proper odds - depends on their holding. They most likely had Jx where x was A, K or Q. Your betting allowed them to stay in the hand.
