Default A Better UO/ND Question

The mindless argument of who is more deserving is getting kind of old. UO only lost one game to the #1 team in all the land, they should've scheduled tougher games. ND played a tougher schedule and would be favored in a game over UO, (it'd be closer if we had our starting QB). In the Ducks defense, every team they played that could've given them so credit fell off at the end (ASU,CAL,Fresno), and it's not their fault the PAC-10 sucked this year. I just wish this year we could've played UCLA. Oh well. No one here in Eugene thought we were going to a BCS bowl anyway.

So the question is, what if you switched the schools. What if The Ducks were the most storied college football team ever from Indiana. That makes the Irish the upstart west-coast 2nd place PAC-10 team. Oregon is an independent and everyone wants to watch their games = $$$. Would that make the difference? (Ignore the automatic #6 rule, I'm just asking if the BCS committee was picking and the schools histories and locations were switched.) What if we switched names and stories with tOSU? Just something to think about.
