I agree that "reunification" as the Chinese like to call it is probably a long way off but inevitable if the status quo is maintained in China politically. But I think there are a lot of wildcards possible, most importantly either a democratic opening in China or exacerbation of regional separatism, that might make a long-term two state solution more viable.
