Default Re: Question about G-Disk

[ QUOTE ]
Is there anyway to quickly recover a computer after G-Disk has been run?

Thanks for any help!

I googled gdisk, and apparently there are at least 2. One is the program for remote storage with gmail. The other is a disk partitioning and formatting utility that comes with Norton Ghost. If you have repartitioned and/or reformatted, it might be possible to recover your data, but probably not quickly or easily. If all you have done is delete partitions, you can get your data back by recreating the partition(s) exactly the same as they were before. If you don't have any record of starting cylinder, size, etc. for the old partitions, you may be screwed. If you have partitioned and reformatted, or repartitioned and don't know the parameters of your old partitions, a data recovery company might be able to get your data back (or some of it) for $$$, if you haven't put anyting else on the disk, but there is probably no easy way to recover it.

Back up your data. It's usually a lot more valuable than the computer.
