Default Re: So what do you guys think about this UB tournament?

As an off-shore venture UB (and all the other sites as well) can pretty much do what they want to. Imagine UB closing down and keeping the deposited funds. Good luck retrieving them.

We really need the US to legalize internet gambling, so there will be some real regulation

This would probably not help you much in the current situation. Imagine a cardroom (any cardroom) in the US announcing a wrong, too big first prize in a tourney. Do you think the Casino Control Commission would hold them to it? Think again. If you win a slot jackpot, but there is just the slightest malfunction in the slot machine, the CCC advises that the Casino have no obligation to pay. It's completely comparable. And, by the way, no card room in their right mind would run a big tournament without issuing a disclamer covering exactly this kind of errors and ommisions.

stars appears to be the only one that handles things fair, IMO (but Im sure they are shady too)

[/ QUOTE ] I can only wonder why you assume Stars is shady? Every time I have been the victim of error on Stars I have been generously compensated. The RNG sofware has been audited by an internationally acclaimed accounting firm, and the funds are guaranteed by the Royal Bank of Scotland. I have seen nothing but expeditious and courteous customer service from them. Makes it really hard to understand why you would discredit them with suspicions of shadynes.
