Default Re: A theoretical baseball question

I would like to submit "exhibit A".

Does anyone remember the NLCS in 1989, Giants v. Cubs?

Will Clark read a pitchers lips (He was equipped with 20/12 vision...yes, 20/12), and they had a conference on the mound before he came up to bat. He watched intently as the coach talked to the pitcher.

First pitch was a low and in fastball that he crushed for a 2 run homer. Later after the game he admitted that he read the lips of the coach who told the pitcher to feed him a low and in fastball on the first pitch, assuming Clark wouldn't expect it. (Low and in fastballs to lefty's are usually the danger zone, so they thought they could sneak an easy strike by him).

This is a case of Clark knowing what was coming, and crushing it for a homer.

Does anyone else remember this game? I know Cubs fans don't because they aren't knowledgable enough to remember that far back. They only thing they remember pre-Bartman was something about a Goat.. anyone else know what I'm talking about?
