Default Re: Hand from 2+2 table last night

[ QUOTE ]
As 2+2ers, it is presumed we have excellent discipline and self-control at the game of poker.

[/ QUOTE ]
I certainly believe this is assuming far too much.

[ QUOTE ]
Surely once you've decided to play against a table of 2+2ers (a -EV move from the start)

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't necessarily believe this is -EV just because the table is 2+2'ers.

[ QUOTE ]
If the bottom line is people don't want to play .5/1 SH, that's fine, but the "i won't take it seriously" excuse is soooo tiresome...

[/ QUOTE ]
I have no problem playing .5/1 games from time to time. The truth of the matter is though, whether we like to admit it or not, we don't play the same game when the money doesn't affect us. That is not ideal, but it takes incredible discipline to actually view it as bets as opposed to money. I play differently at 3/6 than I do at 10/20. I try my best to focus on it as a regular game, but it does get out of hand sometimes. That being said, I have never played a 5/10 2+2 game, and I actaully was getting somewhat out of line at the 3/6 game the other night. Perhaps it's just the nature of a 2+2 game in general, and knowing you can't beat them just by playing ABC TAG poker.
