Unless everybody else limped with small pockets, I don't know what they're doing in the hand if they can't call that bet on that flop. Maybe somebody limped AQ, seen AK & AQ limped a few times recently, so maybe that's why I'm thinking this. You're bet is good, you're right, you don't want to give any draws (and there are bunches of them) good odds.
