Re: If this forum can\'t have a mod...
Q: What is 80%-1
A: That's pot-odds n00b. You does it like so: first find out what are your outs. If you have a pocket pair, you have two. If you have non-suited non-connectors, then you have straight, trip, pair, and two pair draws, and two flush draws. If you have Broadway cards, you have a Broadway draw. Got it?
Now take your outs and calculate the percentage of the time that your opponent has more outs than you. So if some tight/agressive CORRECT player raises UTG to 3bb asap, and you have a small pocket pair, say, red 99, figure out what % of the time he has more outs, what those outs are, and what % of them are higher than your outs, which are 9s and 9c. Find the lowest common denominator by REDUCING THE FRACTION! So in 80%-1, that's only 1 time in 10 than he has LESS than 80% more draws than you. That's your pot odds to win if money comes out of the pot. In this case, since your opponent may have KJ, regretfully, you should pass.
