Default Re: Advice needed from my friends

I am not sure I can qualify as a friend, but I will offer my heartfelt advice.

It is clear to me based upon my extensive study in this forum that SNGs are not the way to go. Seriously infested with fish that you can't beat playing a solid game 'cause of the suckouts.

Same thing for NL ring -- you might do well for awhile, but sure enough someone's going to go all in with 76o and flop a straight against your perfectly played KK.

Limit poker might be doable but the more likely outcome is that it will only prolong the agony (witness your own QQ versus TT hand posted in this very forum).

I might have thought BJ was the way to go, but based partly on your own posts and horrendus beats you're taking, I think this is not the game for you -- not only is it cruel, but it seems to be specifically rigged against you (based upon the beats you've taken).

I'd like to suggest one option you haven't suggested -- the wonderful Side Bet. I've been making some serious bling on Side Bets, and I'm pretty confident that it's not that I'm running hot. I've taken a few sick beats, but overall it's a pretty true game without the monkey business of the others listed above, and one should be able to calculate the EV of a Side Bet in any particular hand based upon available information (I don't want to go into this too much here since I know you know what I'm talking about, and if the info becomes widely known it will likely cause a readjustment of the odds from Party).

Until Party institutes Pai Gow or Casino War (and we see exactly HOW they implement these games) I really think this is your best bet.

Your (trying to be a ) Friend,
Encouragingly,

Catt
