Your implied odds would therefore be a more important consideration than pot odds. Implied odds, unlike pot odds, requires some guesswork. If you have a one card flush draw you will miss it 75% of the time on the turn and may be required to see another bet or possibly a raise to see the river. This will increase the numerator portion of the implied odds calculation but the denominator will also be increased by the number of callers you estimate on the turn and river. Simply put implied odds is your guess at the potential risk versus reward in the hand, if your chances of hitting are greater than your risk/reward you have a good bet. The better you are at estimating this risk /reward, the better poker player you will become.
