Default Re: All affiliates - please read!

have heard that PartyPoker is monitoring this newsgroup because they are concerned as to what the response is to their changes. What affiliates and players alike think of their player reward plan, what the buzz is on the skins thing, etc.

Hi Al,
Nice to meet you. I'm sure I have before, but just not under your present handle.

If Party Poker is reading this and in fact cares what I think about what they have done, I'm going to tell them here. I will try to be as constructive as possible.

Party's annual report stated that 70% of it's income comes from 10% of it's players. Even if multi tabling 2+2'rs accounted for only 1% of it's customer base, they would still generate a substantial amount of that 70% revenue. This has been discussed ad nauseum and if Dikshit can't do the math to figure it out, he's going to drive his little company into the dirt.

If Party is going to push their "Player Rewards" system to reward those players, than I will be at Pokerstars. The Pokerstars player reward system is much better. So is Ultimate Bet's. What's more, the addition of Casino games at Party is going to take money off the tables faster and make it harder for those high volume players to keep good games going.

For me personally, I am not an affiliate, I am just a guy who likes to play (and win) poker. Just as Party is only looking out for themselves, so am I. I have a real job and make quite a bit of change doing it, and am not quitting any time soon to play 10 tables all day at Party, so the issue I am primarily concerned with involves my time budget. I am inclined to play at the site which will make the best use of my time. If that is clearing a bonus, or finding a soft game, or getting rakeback, or getting enough points somewhere because I think their ball cap would be good to add to my collection, depends on the day and the mood I am in.

One thing is given. My multiple skin accounts with rakeback are not closed. My accounts with other poker rooms (with rakeback) all still exist. I have been hearing things from multiple sources and have kept pretty good tabs on what has been going on. I am not worried about what to do. But know Party Poker has a large mountain to climb if they want my business back. I'm not saying that they can't do it without rakeback. They can. But they need to start working on it NOW. One way is to consider how to compete for my time effectively with much better offerings from the market.
