I don't like folding the flop at all.

I'll assume hero is behind on the hand. He has 5 outs for two pair or trips and an additional 1.5 outs for the 0 gap backdoor straight draw for a total of 6.5 outs. For a 6.5 out draw you need to be getting approximately 6:1 to call which happens to be what the pot is laying.

In addition, you don't to bet on the flop and then fold to a raise unless it's clearly right to do so as you don't want to encourage your opponents to throw random raises at you with overcards, gutshots, etc.
