I hope you tell us he showed AK, because that would tie in nicely with some advice I recently gave in a very similar instance
here.
(Higher chance for a flop 3-bet semibluff in your case, though, making calling the turn slightly better than in his. Also, his preflop raiser is easier to put on a strong hand like a high pocket given the preflop action.)
