Default theory on four to a flush quads on flops

Ok so here is my thoughts with no math behind them. I think it is right when i have nut flush draw on flop to pump the pot as much as possible provided i have at least three preferably more players in the pot already. I know that the more players the more correct it is to pump here. But what about when you only have three players in pot and what about if you dont have nuts but only a low flush. At what point on a flop does it become profitable to pump a four to a flush.

Also do you lead the betting here when your table is passive or do you wait hoping to pump it later on if somene bets
