Casey - the more I think about this - the more I tend to agree with you - for all of the above points that you outlined. I find that I'm definitely not playing my best game online. After spending a few hours playing recently I find that I get bored. Part of the excitement of poker to me is sitting at the table with a big stack of chips and being able to watch people. I think it's possible to really to shore up your game if you can play well online. IMO, it would only translate to being able to play better in a cardroom.

Nonetheless, whatever it is, it's going to keep me from playing online much longer. Perhaps I can grind back my buy-in or at least keep enough on there that I can waste a little time here and there. I will continue to try to play my best and hopefully I can turn my online escapade into a winning one. We'll see though.
