Default Re: Noise Cancelling Headphones

I already have a pair of really nice earcup headphones - the Sony MDR-V900s. I DJ for a living and can't live without these. I could simply use them for live play but they're so silly looking at the table due to their size, plus I think they'd limit my hearing at the table which is bad. Of course, any noise cancelling headphones would do the same. Wish I could drown out the noise and announcements of the casino while being able to hear everyone at the table.

I'm a trained audio engineer and always thought the Bose Quietcomfort headphones sounded good. But I've only used them in the air so my perception of them could be askew. I think they look good too. Too bad they're $300.
