Word from our spies in the Big Apple is that after Pete Carroll’s main man Matt Leinart lost the Heisman Trophy to teammate Reggie Bush, Leinart got Heisman-ed by a lovely lady he had taken a shine to at a NYC bar!
The USC QB/QT, who was looking to score his second Heisman in as many years Saturday, apparently was looking to score again later that night at Manhattan hotspot Marquee. Which is where the drowning-his-sorrows Leinart reportedly encountered a gorgeous brunette from Texas.
“He hit on her all night,” said Someone Who Was There.
The couple danced and flirted but when Leinart tried to get a little too friendly, the gal gave him the old stiff arm!
“She turned around and slapped him and left.”
Well! Bet Matt’s not used to that!
According to an e-mail making the rounds, the object of Matt’s affection did not know she was dancing with a big-shot college jock who will undoubtedly have a swell career in the NFL.
USC’s assistant director of sports information Paul Goldberg said he was with Leinart at Marquee but never saw the alleged encounter with the Texas lass. He has also seen the e-mail — and attached photos — which, he said, has been bouncing from coast to coast.
“I don’t know what he did. I know this e-mail is going around but I don’t know how anyone can check its validity,” he said.
But a spywitness seated near Leinart that night did verify that he was getting frisky with a few gals — including an attractive brunette. For what that’s worth.

Yep, just like I thought. The girl most likely didn't know who he was. Hot girls at high end clubs (or any hot girls for that matter) care about bank roll and image. If she knew who he was, I doubt she would have shut him down.
