I agree with the other posters that you've got to re-raise on the turn. But the thing that really caught my eye is that you said this was your second hand at the table and you were in the BB. If this is correct, it means you posted as UTG. I would guess that this will cost you more money in the long term than flopping quads will make you. Just wait for the big blind.
