I am more optimistic than you.

Assuming Foulke can pitch effectively next year, the bullpen will be upgraded automatically. Hansen could be a big help, as could Delcarmen with another year under his belt.

When Delcarmen came into the last game of the year and they flashed his ERA, it was a sad, sad moment. Something like 3.12...ended up as 3.00 after he recorded an out or two.

The bullpen and first base almost have to be better next year. The "efforts" they got from the players they shifted through those positions were barely good enough for those players to have major league careers.
