I really don't agree with the OP. Although it may be true that we share many of the same moral principles in this culture, people give different specific principles different levels of importance. Maybe I just don't see what kind of logical failures are made on a daily basis that lead to differing value judgments. Can anyone think of an example?

(As an aside moral principles are VERY different across cultural boundaries. People on opposite sides of the world often do disagree about what is right because of basic value differences. In fact, there have been many psychological studies done that show there are tangible differences in moral judgments based on one's ethnicity and cultural upbringing.)
