Australians seem to really love the vegemite which is just ungodly horrible to an American. (Anyone who has never had this should imagine licking a dirty sock)
Americans seem to love peanut butter which is pretty horrible to almost everyone outside of America.
Scandinavians really love licorice and it seems the majority of people outside of Scandinavia hate it.
Just my observations.
