In fact, If I did not have two 9s -- which looked like I had some of Seat 8's cards -- I may have folded on the river (although that is not very likely). Also, on the river, the other villain called hesitantly and told me I was in third place... I couldn't convince myself to save the bet though.

very results oriented, you shouldn't be able to put your opponents on quads and a boat based on the boards/action of this hand. bet this river every time.
