this is a tough hand. i know i would raise pre-flop, and i'm pretty sure i would be the flop (i'd bet 450-500, fwiw), but after that, it's not so clear.
on the turn, you have 3k behind in a 2k pot. i'd bet 1200 and call a push. checking is unappealing b/c you don't want to give a free card to a spade, or straight draw, smaller 1 pair, etc.
given the check and push, i think i'd let it go. there's a pretty good chance you'd be folding the best hand, but i think that icm considerations make it a fold. a pretty tough fold, though. i'd call if you had the 9s or if your hand were AQ.
