Surprise at Turningstone
A couple of weeks ago I made a post asking about the Turningstone roomrates etc. My wife and I plan to take a trip out there. As I mentioned previously we usually go to Foxwoods or Mohegan on daytrips (2hr. drive) or go to AC (6 1/2 hrs) 3 times a year for 3 nights. She plays slots and will get comps for the 3 nights free while in AC. However we wanted to try a different casino and as long as they have poker there (holdem) I'm happy..When I called for the room rates I was quoted $135.00 per night during the week. But to my surprise when I asked about a poker rate I was quoted $75.00. The few times I've asked for reduced room rates for poker players at other casinos they were not usually available.
