Default Re: Adjusting my play -- PP 2/4 to AC live 4/8

Be prepared to feel like you're mucking EVERY hand and NEVER getting involved in a pot (this effect is going to be especially exaggerated if you multi-table online). If you're not concious of how slow a B&M game moves you can easily fall into the trap of playing too many hands in spots that you shouldn't. Going from 300 hands per hour to 30 hands per hour can make A LOT of silly junk start to look really appealing!

Good Luck!!

This is a REALLY crucial point. A lot of good online players have a hard time playing their best game in live games because they can't deal with the fact they're playing 1/10 of the hands they are used to 4-tabling online. This leads them to play way too many hands and to try to make too many fancy moves to keep the entertainment value up.

A good thing I like to do is to play at limits significantly above my online limits. I play 3/6-5/10 and occassionally 10/20 online, but generally play 10/20-20/40 live. One of the reasons is that it makes me focus and play my A game.
