PokerStars is currently experiencing troubles. If you're logged in, the games are fine. If you're not, the update is failing and you can't log in. To log in NOW, before the troubles are resolved, run PokerStars.EXE directly from the C:\Program Files\PokerStars directory.
This is only a temporary workaround -- once the update server is running again, you should go back to using the usual icon to ensure you get new updates.
