My native language is Japanese, so I love it when people use a word that I don't know, so I can look it up and increase my vocabulary.
The word that I didn't know before was "pretentious."

By the way, you may not care, but the reason why I don't own a TV is because I can't control myself and ended up watching too much.
Also, you're right that every opportunity that I get, I tell people that I don't own a TV.
