Defenetely bet. Hopefully villain will have hit the ace and raise so you can 3-bet. Villain already told you by checking the turn that his hand probably isn't spectacular, so he might check the river too, which would be a disaster. If he hit the ace, you have a chance to get 3 bets in by betting but virtually no chance of getting 4 bets by c/r ing.
