As to the possibilies of AA and AK, there are 6 ways to make any given pair, and 16 ways to make any non-pair combo (4 suited, 12 unsuited).

For instance, to make AA:

SCHD represent suits:
AsAc
AsAd
AsAh
AcAd
AcAh
AdAh

so in your example, assuming AA and AK were the only possibilites, then odds of AA are 6/22, or about 27%.
