You had him drawing to three outs when the money went in, of coure you played this right. this should be in BBV. You're right, if you (or your bankroll) can't take the short-term variance in NL, go back to LHE.

However, with 4 allins preflop, figure 3 pocket pairs and another guy with AK - the AK is 3:1 to hit his 3 outs, and both pocket pairs are 5:1 to hit a set. You aren't going to win a pot this big unimproved, but when you DO win it, its massive.

You are well ahead equity wise, which is all that matters in poker.
