OK, so a little background first. I moved to a 'burb of Detroit last year after 20 years in the OC (less 4 years at the Harvard of the West). In this year and change, I have suffered from a severe lack of Mexican food (be it good or fast-food style). While in the OC, I ate Mexican at least 4 days a week for some meal (even breakfast... mmmm...chorizo and egg quesadillas) Now that I'm here, my options have been Qdoba (adequate but not great) and of course, Taco Bell (a man cannot live on Grilled Stuft Burritos forever though).
While running an errand today, I saw a sign in a new building that warmed the cockles of my heart. It said:
"Burrito-fication in progress! Chipotle coming soon!"
There may just be a God after all. Now if He would just order up a Del Taco and Pickup Stix for me, I'd be all set. Oh sweet carnitas burrito with tomatillo green salsa, come to papa!
