Irchans has pointed out that my above method is not exact. See my comments in red in the original post for an explanation. In fact, the computation of the probability in question was the main issue which prevented me from posting a solution earlier. I will leave this solution up because I believe it is a good approximation, though I do not know what the error is, and because I don't have any better solution at this point.
