Default Re: USA Today Article/Party Poker/Banned Software

[ QUOTE ]
You're right, it will probably damage poker, but it's Party's own fault. You could argue that it's PP and PE's fault, but when did PartyPoker ever say they were banned? They didn't, they just started sending out warnings and shutting down accounts. They should have contacted PP and PE and said "We're about to ban your software, tell your users". If PE and PP didn't warn their users then Party could have updated their Terms and sent out a notice to all players that mass profiling software is banned. But they didn't. They did their typical heavy handed BS and deserve to get bit in the arse for it.

PP and PE make service industry add ons to a propriatary software interface. Guess what, if you don't have a solid association with the original developers you are on the cusp of going out of business on a whim.

This seems like a really cheap lesson for them to learn now.
