My Opinion:

You played it OK.

Just try to get a feeling for the current pot odds -- (your hand’s expectation with respect to the current situation, namely the: preflop; flop; turn; & river). Remember that on balance for four way action; that when you win: you win about three times as much when you scoop a pot relative to splitting the pot. In average or tight games and three way action; you don't win much when you split a pot. In two way action, you usually win essentially nothing when you split the pot. Also….

Don’t get trapped in the middle when you sense that your hand can’t stand a raise. Get a feel for the type of players around the table….

Learn how to adjust your playing style to the type of game you are in – especially if you are lucky enough to be in a juicy live casino (cash) game.
